Why PADI Specialty Courses?

While you have been diving for a while, there are always skills that we can improve upon. If you are interested in a specific type of diving, the Specialty courses take you deeper into those realms. They hone your skills, educate you and make you a better and safer diver.

What Specialties do you teach?
AZ Dive Training is certified to train you in multiple PADI specialties including: Enriched Air Diver, Underwater Digital Photography, Wreck Diver, Night Diver, Deep Diver, Search & Recovery, Emergency First Response, Dry Suit, Peak Performance Buoyancy and Project Aware AWARE Coral Reef Conservation.

Some of the most rewarding specialties with our Customers include the following Specialties:

Nitrox Diver
Nitrox is a mixture aur that has more Oxygen than the normal air that we breath. It extends bottom time in that your body does not absorb as much Nitrogen, therefore extending your decompression limits. Nitrox does NOT allow you to dive deeper - simply longer.

This Specialty certifies you to dive with Nitrox - up to 40%. It consists of One (1) day/evening of classroom sessions.

Wreck Diver
Every year, divers get themselves in trouble when they decide to venture into shipwrecks without the proper training or equipment. Don't let this happen to you! AZ Dive Training trains divers in the skills and equipment needed to safely penetrate shipwrecks, within the recreational PADI limits. This course is best performed in conjunction with the Nitrox course on the shipwrecks off of San Diego.

Drysuit Diver
Are you freezing parts of your body off in that wetsuit? Do you want to dive cold water but are tired of being cold and wet? It sounds like you need to check out our drysuit specialty course. Drysuits can be tricky with their dynamic bouyancy so PADI has a course to instruct you in the safe operation of drysuits during diving.

The course consists of One (1) day of instruction followed by a day in the pool and/or a day at the lake. The purchase of a drysuit is a necessity since drysuit rentals are almost impossible - fit is everything with a drysuit.

PADI Deep Diver
During your Advancced Open Water Diver course you sampled deep diving. Now it is time to go further. The PADI Deep Diver Specialty will teach you more about the effects of Nitrogen Narcosis, safety and skills necessary to become a proficient deep diver.

PADI Underwater Navigator
Do you keep losing your way underwater? Do you surface on the wrong anchor line, only to be ridiculed by all of your buddies for the remainder of the trip? AZ Dive Training has the solution for you! We will instruct you in ways to navigate through your dive without surfacing or simply hoping that you have gone where intended.

The PADI Boat Diver Specialty includes One (1) classroom session along with a series of boat dives in conjuction with a trip to either Mexico or San Diego
